I remember thinking that I had never seen anyone like this before and was intimidated but at the same time drawn to him. I loved listening to his guitar and to hear his voice. I don't think he was just gifted, it was spiritual. There was so much packed into each moment of his music, so much intensity, so intentional. Todd was the kind of person that I couldn't know well and that bugged me at first but I watched him like a hawk because of it. Today I can honestly say, there is no one else like Todd, in fact there are very few people who come to this earth that are like that, like him. He was special, almost like he didn't belong here, and that was why we needed him here more than anything. He has left an empty space here and will be missed, but even more than that, he will be missed by those who will never hear him speak, never hear him create a beautiful melody or strum, pick a enchanting tune or share in his humour, his courage, his willingness to step into lives that very few would dare touch. Yeah, I can seriously say I miss Todd, we miss Todd, but some will never know what they missed.
My understanding of God is that He's there with him, Todd's there with Him, what an extraordinary truth! That's the kind of Love that I've committed my life to.

May God be blessed.Nathan Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14561459260632203377noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13415309.post-1132896726958860132005-11-24T21:32:00.000-08:002005-11-24T21:32:00.000-08:00as a footnote about this song: heather was a co-wo...as a footnote about this song: heather was a co-worker of todd's. she wrote this song the day he died and sang it at the candle-light ceremony that was held in his honor on monday in gas-works park. the song completely undid me so the next day i tracked her down and asked her to email me the lyrics. i feel like there is nothing more fitting than this song to mark the passing of my beautiful friend, todd.elnellishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06797708866823750436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13415309.post-1132756378839957562005-11-23T06:32:00.000-08:002005-11-23T06:32:00.000-08:00ha... peter.... phil and i were just talking last ...ha... peter.... phil and i were just talking last night about todd's hair and the sweatshirt and how he got called into patrick masar's office for a "lack of hygene" and was told that if he wore the sweatshirt for one more day he would be fined.

and then there was the time that todd told patrick that he (todd) had girl's ears and should be allowed to wear earrings in them...

we laughed a lot with todd, that's for sure... and he brought out great things in us all.

thanks todd. we love you and will miss you.Aaronhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16640003545119880587noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13415309.post-1132709486678572792005-11-22T17:31:00.000-08:002005-11-22T17:31:00.000-08:00right on pneter, i'll never forget that sweatshirt...right on pneter, i'll never forget that sweatshirt and pants...elnellishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06797708866823750436noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-13415309.post-1132709139484388782005-11-22T17:25:00.000-08:002005-11-22T17:25:00.000-08:00Thanks, Phnil.I think the enduring image I will ha...Thanks, Phnil.

I think the enduring image I will have of Todd is sitting next to him in English Comp., him sporting bed-head and wearing the same MBI sweatshirt and pink pants day after day after day after day (and presumably wearing the lacy panties as well).

One-of-a-kind guy with lots of talent and a unique talent.

Goodbye, ToddAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
