yeah, i didn't like them at first but this album really grew on me. the instrumentation is spacious but strong- i enjoy a band that isn't a "wall of sound" like so much stuff these days. and the stories on this album are really great. i enjoyed about 5 of the songs, the rest are filler.
Phil, It warms my heart to see that these fellow Biola grads have reached the ears of Seattle. It wasnt but two years ago that my then roomate and Kids manager gave me a rough cut of their first EP. Its been great watching them grow. I'll pass on the good review.
By the way, I was in Seattle over Easter for a wedding and while we were wandering through the city we stumbled on Mars Hill's new location. What a great building and location...

Phil,
That new album by Lion and Eagle is great. My favorite track is "Toot like you mean it!" but i really liked "Phwert in your diapy" too.
yeah, "all the way up the back" and "midnight serenade" are good tracks too.
You're not the first Cold War Kids lover I've heard from, but they just haven't hooked me...
