ok, sam beam has three years of record making on william fitzsimmons. so, call him a rip off- they do have a lot in common. first and most evident is the giant beards, gentle voices, and great ability to write songs that soothe the soul. in addition, they both had successful careers prior to their musical projects. beam as a professor of film and fitzsimmons as masters certified therapist.
i'm enjoying fitzsimmons' new record, and i think it's because it sounds a lot like early iron & wine, a sound that i've been saying for a few years, beam shouldn't have departed from.

i just looked him up and did you know that he was raised by blind parents? sound being the main means to communicate...kind of cool...thanks for sharing...
yeah, i did notice that. it would make for the development of other senses and awareness. my friend tony's parents were both deaf. i wonder if that would make for good body expressiveness.
where would i be if you ever stopped the musical love?
i'll have to check this guy out.
