thanks guys... my idea behind this piece and the last one was to deconstruct (or say what is said but not being said in) some of the popular christian catchphrases. they are tonge-in-cheek theological illustrations, meant to help us think about our traditional phraseology that may be outdated or streight up full of bad theology. so if they offend... they are meant to... but hopefully the diologue doesn't stop there.

this reminds me of our Lord when he said i was hungry and you gave me no food. when our Lord spent time in prayer he truly spent precious hours, early or late, so that he could spend time with the lost.

right on jefe.
true spirituality, as modeled by Christ himself, never protected him from having to truely encounter the brokenness of the world. that was the thought behind the piece- that so often our own little faith "dogmas" shelter us from engaging the other and can even get in the way of sensing the "tears" of the Spirit moving... looking for a worthy and available instrument to do his work.
this is pretty much where i'm at right now... i stand convicted.
